Lou-Wheeze Smoker's Lungs Comparison Model
Students get a shockingly accurate picture of smoking-related lung damage with this interactive display. Lou-Wheeze has two flexible latex lung models. One represents a healthy lung, which has a light color and smooth surface. The other offers a striking contrast its blackened and bubble-like surface depicts the damage done by emphysema and cancer. A bellows pump is used to inflate the lung models. The healthy lung model functions as a normal lung would, easily inflating and deflating. But the diseased lung "struggles" to expel air, graphically illustrating the effects of emphysema. Comes with bellows pump and instructions. 17" x 23 ½".
